Health is Wealth!

The Tempe Community Health Center is providing more than just affordable, quality health care to those who need it. The center provides workout equipment, legal advice and a welcoming atmosphere to contribute to the overall health of area residents.

The center had its official grand opening Wednesday. “The center is not just a sight for health but also a hub for people to come. You don’t have to be coming to see a doctor to enjoy the walking path or the exercise equipment,” said Mountain Park CEO, Dr. John Swagert.

Cheresa Brown, a 25-year-old airline worker, described the center as a place that’s different from anything she has ever experienced.

“It’s something that makes you feel comfortable you can come to your doctor with anything, and you can trust people here,” said Brown.

Despite the excitement about the grand opening, there was also a sense of concern Wednesday. The uncertainty of The Affordable Health Care Act also knows as Obamacare was evident.

With so much up in the air, Mountain Park CEO, Dr. John Swagert remains positive. “Even if benefits are taken away we’re still going to be here, doing everything we can because the need for our care then will be even greater,” said Dr. Swagert.

The Tempe Community Center plans to continue their growth if the community wants it. “We have an opportunity we can build on to this building if we run out of room there is additional space where we can add 10,000 additional square feet on to this clinic if the need arises,” said Dr. John Swagert.
